There was a time when I strongly disliked minimal music. Today I'm still not a real minimal lover, but I've learned to appreciate the best works of this genre. The day I started doing this was the day I heard this track for the first time. I hope some of you people haven't heard it yet, so you can have the same experience as I had when it got released. When I started this blog I knew I was going to post this beautiful track one day. Today is that day. 2 versions of this track were released in 2007 (original + Ryan Kris remix) but those versions are totally inferior to this one. This Patrique Seguin remix got released much earlier (not sure when) and it was available as a free download back than. It is a killer-track that will enchant you if you have my taste of music. The last 3 weeks I've been on a road-trip in the US so I haven't been posting frequently. That's about to change now, cause I'm back home and I've got some catching up to do. I'll start off with this awesome track by Perspects remixed by Franz & Shape. Good to be back.
This is one of the most amazing ep's ever released. I believe it got released late 2006 and in those days it was really hard to find. But I did (half year later or so) and I still feel like this is an exceptional record. These are three very diverse tracks and I love them all. I'm not sure if anyone else will like them, but I think it's worth the post. I must add: this is for those of you with an open mind. EIN JAGUAR! MYSPACE
Sometimes I want to post a few tracks that have something in common and then I decide to make a list around that subject. Today I have chosen to do a going out - top 5. It's just a nice theme for electro-styled music. So here it is:
1. DOWNLOAD mp3: dave clarke - what was her name This, to me, is the ultimate going out - theme. Superb track by the legendary Dave Clarke with killer-vocals by Chicks on Speed. Great. 2. DOWNLOAD mp3: samantha fu - discotheque Really clever track, a real classic. It was produced by Belgians David and Stephen Dewaele from Soulwax.
3. DOWNLOAD mp3: komatrohn - mirrors and chrome Probably most electro-lovers are familiar with the first two tracks, but number 3 isn't such a classic track. Doesn't matter, I love it.
4. DOWNLOAD mp3: melnyk - art of seduction This is a calmer, more seductive track (the title already indicates that). It is a beautiful stunner. Cherish this one.
5. DOWNLOAD mp3: annie - heartbeat (alan braxe remix) A lot of people will be familiar with this track, but that doesn't change the fact that it is beautifully composed. Such a nice track with a superb feel to it.
I've always loved the early works by Markus Lange. I think his "Big trouble in little china"-ep is one of the best ever made (I already posted it) and I think he has produced some more awesome tracks dating back to that period. His newer work is still good, but not what it used to be (for me). Before he was doing commercial releases he was already making music with his friend Daniel Dexter under the alias: Fatdex. So I think it's nice to do a post on that project. The first track is an orginal one, the other one is a remix they did of the classic "Smalltown Boy" by Bronski Beat.
